In "Pack With Me," influencers and editors give us a rundown of their travel must haves and a few travel hacks to go along with them. For this installment, Victoria's Secret model Taylor Hill tells PS what she packed for a trip to London to shoot the new Dream campaign.
Victoria's Secret model Taylor Hill, 28, is the perfect person to ask for travel advice ahead of a trip to London, England. While she frequents the destination for work, she also visits for pleasure, having recently attended a beautiful wedding in the English countryside. But this time around, she was on location at Longleat House, the set for the Victoria's Secret Dream campaign.
Hill describes the property to PS as incredibly unique with stunning surroundings. On the day of the photo shoot, she got an early start on makeup and wardrobe sessions while taking in the scenery. Her favorite look? The black Wicked satin and lace trim slip (worn below), which she loves for its comfortable fit and lace trim for an added touch of elegance.
If you aren't a supermodel with a stacked agenda, Hill has a long list of leisure time recommendations: cycling in Westbourne Grove and stopping by Daylesford for fresh, organic food; eating at Orange Buffalo Wings in Shoreditch; popping into vintage stores on Brick Lane; and caffeinating at a coffee shop called Hjem in Kensington.
Her biggest piece of advice? Bring a raincoat. "If you're traveling to London, the first thing to know about the weather is its unpredictability. A raincoat is a must due to frequent showers," she says. "Packing layers is essential to adapt to sudden changes in temperature. Comfortable, waterproof footwear is recommended for lots of walking. An umbrella and a scarf are also useful accessories. With these essentials, you'll be ready for London's ever-changing weather."
Ahead, she shares 13 different items you'll find in her magically compact weekender bag every time she heads to London, ranging from relaxing self-care products to handy tech items that help document an adventure. The best part is none of them will set you back more than $150. Scroll to shop Hill's trustworthy London travel kit from start to finish.
Best Lip Tint
Rhode Peptide Lip Tint in Espresso ($18)
Hill names Rhode her go-to brand for on-the-go lip treatments. "It keeps my lips moisturized and adds a subtle tint, perfect for both day and night," she says. This product in particular provides a sheer wash of buildable color and is one of the brand's bestsellers. You can read more about the cruelty-free, vegan, and gluten-free must have in our own PS editor review of the Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment.
Best Travel Water Bottle
Simple Modern Insulated Tumbler With Lid and Straw ($22)
Everyone has a favorite emotional support water bottle, and if you don't, there are so many models to choose from. Hill's pick? The Simple Modern 20-ounce stainless steel tumbler in almond birch. "Hydration is key when traveling. My Simply Modern Cup ensures I always have water on hand, whether I'm sightseeing or relaxing in a cafe," she says.
Best Travel Cream
Eau Thermale Avène Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream ($28)
"I can't travel without my Avène Cicalfate," Hill declares. "It's perfect for my nighttime routine, keeping my skin soothed and hydrated after a long day exploring the city." The microbiome-friendly cream calms skin and hydrates it for up to 48 hours, restoring it four times faster than other products. You can apply it twice a day and use it on your face, body, or both.
Best Makeup Bag
Victoria's Secret 2-Piece Makeup Bag ($35)
"For a getaway to London, I recommend bringing some handy travel products," Hill says, many of which she stows away in this genius two-in-one toiletry bag from VS. She describes it as "perfect for keeping your essentials organized and easily accessible." This set comes in many different prints and patterns, which you can scope out to match the rest of your go-to luggage set.
Best Travel Skin-Care Kit
Care.ē.on En Route Essentials 5pc Kit ($38)
"Staying clean on the go is a must, and Care.ē.on Hand Sanitizer is my top choice. It's convenient, effective, and keeps my hands fresh and germ-free," Hill shares. These packable items are lavender scented and include the aforementioned sanitizer, a facial mist, hydrating pads to reduce in-flight puffiness, and a hydration mask. An added bonus? The packaging is also sustainable, so you can feel good about treating yourself to one of these every time you fly.
Best Portable Charger
Apple Mophie Powerstation Mini ($40)
"A portable charger is a must have for keeping my devices powered throughout the day. It's essential for navigating the city and capturing all those memorable moments," Hill explains. The Mophie comes in black or blue and is compact, measuring 1 x 1.6 x 3 inches. It doesn't even weigh half a pound, so you'll barely feel it in your bag, and it provides 20W of PD power via its USB-C port as soon as you plug it in. What's that mean? To put it simply, your battery will be at 50 percent in just 30 minutes.
Best Travel Sweatshirt
Victoria's Secret Featherweight Knit Half-Zip Pullover ($55)
"This pullover is my go-to cozy essential for plane rides. It's soft, comfortable, and keeps me warm during flights," Hill tells PS. We especially love that its hoodless, so the extra bulk doesn't get involved in your attempt at sleeping on the plane. You can also shop it in terra olive if that's more your speed, and feel free to unzip to your personal preference if you tend to get warm while en route.
Best Travel Sweatpants
Victoria's Secret Featherweight Knit Wide-Leg Pants ($68)
"These pants are perfect for travel days. They're incredibly comfortable yet stylish, making them ideal for long flights or train rides," Hill says. While they're very sleek in gray teamed with a matching sports bra or white tee, they also come in a gorgeous terra olive shade as well as velvet morning blue if you really want to stand out during your travels.
Best Packing Cubes
Béis The Packing Cubes ($68)
"These are a game-changer for staying organized. They help separate different types of clothing and make it easier to find what you need without unpacking everything," Hill says. She's not alone in her appreciation for the editor-favorite travel brand, or her love for packing cubes. You can also read our reviews on the Béis Carry-On Roller and Béis Mini Weekender if you're interested in more standout luggage to make a full set.
Best Travel Pajamas
Victoria's Secret Modal Long Pajama Set ($70)
"To feel at home even when abroad, I always pack my Modal Long Pajamas. They're super soft and ensure I get a good night's sleep," Hill says. This set is conveniently offered in short, medium, or long and comes in sizes XS-XXL. The cool-to-the-touch modal fabric has four-way stretch for maximum comfort on a plane, and the contrast piping lends a stylish touch.
Best Travel Catsuit
Victoria's Secret Elevate Cross-Back Mesh One-Piece ($90)
"Staying active while traveling is important to me. The Elevate Cross-Back Mesh One-Piece is perfect for workouts and looks great too," Hill says of the one-and-done workout outfit. It's also available in bare taupe and terra olive shades and comes with light padding and adjustable straps to provide shape and support. The LYCRA® ADAPTIV material is machine washable and has four-way stretch built in to move with your body.
Best Travel Sneakers
Asics Gel NYC 2055 Sneaker ($130)
"My perfect on-the-go travel shoe for London has to be my Asics running shoes. I take them with me everywhere because they combine comfort and functionality, which is essential for navigating the city's busy streets and extensive public transport system," Hill says. This style is gender neutral and takes its design inspiration from a vintage pair released in the early 2000s. Scoop it up in cream and silver or pale oak and truffle gray.
Best Weekender Bag
Victoria's Secret Weekender Bag ($140)
"For my trip to London, I used a Victoria's Secret weekender bag, which I found to be incredibly practical and stylish. I highly recommend it for short trips as it offers ample space and compartments to keep everything organized," Hill shares. While the black version is ultra-sleek, it's also available in the signature VS pink stripe pattern as well as mauve and jacquard fabrics. If you decide to use a carry-on suitcase, Hill suggests something durable and lightweight with good maneuverability for convenience.
