One of the things that we’ve noticed about Jen Walters in both the MCU and the comics is that she changes from a smaller or regular-sized girl to a large green lady called the Jade Giantess whenever she takes her She-Hulk form. The fact that she herself is called a giantess means that she is an incredibly big character, as she is even bigger than most of the other MCU heroes. But how tall and heavy is She-Hulk?
She-Hulk is around 6’7” and 700 pounds whenever she is in her transformed state. In the MCU, the regular Jen Waters is only around 5’4” and somewhere between 100 to 120 pounds. That means that She-Hulk is the tallest and biggest female MCU character we have as of this writing.
There have been a lot of large men in the history of the MCU and even Marvel Comics, but the thing is that She-Hulk seems to trump most of them in terms of her size because she is simply tall and large. Some characters may feel emasculated by the fact that she is a big woman, but that has always been what made She-Hulk special. Now, let’s look at how big She-Hulk is and how she compares to other MCU characters.
How Tall Is She-Hulk?
The introduction of She-Hulk into the MCU was figuratively and literally huge because of the fact that She-Hulk is not only one of the most popular characters in Marvel Comics history but is also one of the biggest in terms of her physical stature and overall capabilities. Of course, the fact that she is a Hulk is what makes her one of the biggest and strongest female characters in the MCU.
In the MCU, we have seen a lot of physically strong women in the form of Black Widow, Gamora, and Captain Marvel. However, none of them were ever like She-Hulk in the physical sense as she simply towers over them because she is simply that much bigger than all of the MCU characters we have seen thus far. So, how tall is She-Hulk?
Jen Walters, in her normal form, is actually 5’10” in the comics. That means that she is pretty tall for a woman asthe average height of an American femaleis right around 5’4”. But the MCU version of Jen Walters, portrayed by Tatiana Maslany, is actually around the average height of an American female of 5’4”. That means that she isn’t impressive in terms of her height in the MCU but becomes an incredibly tall woman as She-Hulk.
Both the comics and the MCU seem to have pegged Jen Walters’s She-Hulk transformation at 6’7”. For the sake of comparison, the average height of an NBA playeris 6’6”, and that means that She-Hulk is taller than the tallest athletes in the world. She is also much taller than most MCU characters.
How Heavy Is She-Hulk?
While we do know that Jen Walters is an incredibly tall character whenever she transforms into She-Hulk, we also know that she is quite heavy in this transformation not only because she is tall but also because, as a Hulk, her muscles are incredibly dense and her skin is quite hard to penetrate. So, how heavy is She-Hulk?
While Jen Walters is probably somewhere between 100 to 120 pounds in the MCU, She-Hulk is somewhere between 670 and 700 pounds. That means that her muscles are incredibly dense because of how heavy she is. For comparison’s sake, Paul Wight, aka the Big Show, was once known as the world’s largest athlete at seven feet tall and 500 pounds.
Given that She-Hulk is so much leaner than Paul Wight, it only makes sense that her muscles are so much denser if she is nearly 200 pounds heavier than the man formerly known as the world’s largest athlete.
How She-Hulk’s Size Compares To Other MCU Characters
To truly see just how big She-Hulk is, let’s compare her to some of the more famous MCU characters.
She-Hulk vs. The Hulk
The Hulk is, of course, She-Hulk’s cousin and was the reason why Jen Walters became She-Hulk. Of course, we all know that Bruce Banner’s alter ego is so much bigger than She-Hulk because the Hulk stands at around 8’2” and weighs somewhere between 1,000 and 1,400 pounds. And the fact that he is a lot taller and incredibly bulky is the reason why the Hulk is so much bigger compared to the 6’7” 700-pound She-Hulk.
She-Hulk vs. Thanos
The MCU version of Thanos is actually quite big because, in the comics, he is around 6’7” and 1000 pounds. But in the MCU, he is actually taller than Hulk because he is around 8’3” and is somewhere in the ballpark of 1,000 to 1,400 in terms of his weight. He is the character closest to the Hulk in terms of height and weight, and that means that Thanos is also so much bigger and heavier than She-Hulk.
She-Hulk vs. Thor
In the comics, Thor is somewhere around 6’6”, and that means that he is quite tall due to his Asgardian genetics. Meanwhile, in the MCU, the God of Thunder is a tad shorter because he is somewhere close to 6’3”. He is still quite tall for a non-Hulk character.
Of course, as explained by Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War, Thor has dense muscle fibers that allow him to be quite strong. That’s why he weighs somewhere around 640 pounds, as he has muscles that are quite dense and heavy.
If you look at it, She-Hulk isn’t a lot taller and heavier than Thor, given the fact that the God of Thunder does have the genetics of an Asgardian. Still, She-Hulk is taller and heavier than the tallest non-transformed Avenger in the MCU.
She-Hulk vs. Iron Man
Tony Stark isn’t the most physically gifted MCU character because his gifts come in the form of his mind. Whenever he is wearing his Iron Man suit, he isn’t much taller than his actual height of 5’8”, as he is probably at least six feet tall in the suit. Meanwhile, the weight of his armor changes depending on the type of material it uses.
However, whenever he is in his Hulkbuster suit, he reaches an impressive height of 11 feet, given the fact that this suit was specifically made to battle the Hulk. In that regard, he is now much taller than She-Hulk. And if the Hulkbuster could stand toe-to-toe with the Hulk, it can do the same with She-Hulk.
She-Hulk vs. Captain America
In the comics, Captain America is somewhere around 6’2”, which isn’t far off from Chris Evans’s height of six feet tall. While he is stronger than most human beings, Steve Rogers doesn’t have the same musculature that Thor has because he is only at peak levels in terms of his physiology. Still, Captain America weighs 240 pounds because of his strong muscles. And while he is only five inches shorter than She-Hulk, he is so much lighter than her.
She-Hulk vs. Black Widow
Black Widow may be quite strong for an average person, but she is still just a normal human being with no superpowers. And while she is the shortest out of all of the original Avengers, comparing her to She-Hulk would be quite interesting to see.
Scarlett Johansson is somewhere around 5’3”, and that means that Black Widow isn’t really tall and is actually shorter than MCU Jen Walters. As such, she isn’t even close to She-Hulk, who is 6’7” and is far bigger than Black Widow ever was.
